Why Bamboo brushes?
Research says 2 billion plastic toothbrushes end up in oceans and landfills every year. Compared with the 13 million tons of plastic that end up in the oceans every year, well, it is just a drop in the ocean. Still, every bit that doesn’t end up there is helpful.
Our Eco and Moco toothbrushes are plant-based bristles and bamboo toothbrushes. The bristles are made from castor-bean oil (nylon 11). It is the only plant-based bristle available that lasts as long as conventional nylon. The bristles are bio-based, but still not biodegradable, though are still a step better than all nylon bristles.
Care Instructions: At the end of life, compost the bamboo handle. Break off the head or remove bristles with pliers.
